Our laboratory investigates the role of cancer-derived extracellular vesicles (EVs) in the very early steps that lead to the formation of breast to brain metastasis.
In particular, we are focused on how the preparation of a brain microenvironment—better known as the pre-metastatic niche—is influenced by EVs to favor the survival and growth of metastatic cells.
